Archive House is preserving Calgary’s architectural character, one home at a time.

Archive House is a special initiative of Arch House, focused on preserving and reimagining Calgary’s most character-rich homes. We purchase homes with architectural character and thoughtfully renovate them to ensure their legacy continues. Our goal is to breathe new life into these spaces so they can carry on into the next chapter We don’t tear down and rebuild. We work with what’s already there, bringing new life to homes with good bones, original charm, and lasting value.

We believe many of Calgary’s most interesting homes already exist. These houses tell stories about the people who built them, the families who lived in them, the materials they chose, and the design sensibilities of their time. Archive House exists to honour those stories while making space for new ones.

Through thoughtful renovation, timeless design, and quality craft, we preserve the spirit of each home while making it better suited to modern life. Whether it’s a heritage house, a post-war bungalow, or a misunderstood gem from the 1980s, we see potential where others might not. Our goal is to enhance these homes in a way that not only celebrates their original character, but makes them so valued, useful, and loved that demolition becomes unthinkable.

Continue Your Home's Story

We’re always looking for our next project. If you own a home with architectural character, whether it’s a designated heritage property or simply well-built and well-loved, we’d love to talk.

Archive House makes fair-market offers, manages the process with care, and ensures your home is passed on with purpose.

If your home has a story worth continuing, we’d love to hear it.
